FOX Business officially announced on Wednesday the signing of star financial news anchor Maria Bartiromo to a multi-year deal. Bartiromo is jumping to FBN from rival CNBC, where in 1995 she became the first journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Bartiromo had been anchoring the top-rated markets program at CNBC.

Police on Long Island are investigating a report that a gunshot was fired at an unoccupied office for PSE&G. A Suffolk County Police spokeswoman said the gunshot was apparently fired sometime overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. No injuries were reported.

"Real-feel" temperatures were below zero prompting a Wind Chill Advisory for a large portion of the area. The storm which targeted the area on Tuesday into Wednesday caused serious traffic and transit problems all over. Nearly one foot of snow fell in New York City. By Wednesday, 100 percent of the city's primary streets had been plowed, said Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The NYPD is looking for three people who robbed and raped a woman at the Inkstatic Tattoo Parlor in Brooklyn. Police say it happened about 2 a.m. on Friday Jan. 17 at the store on Ralph Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
